Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions Regarding your stay with us at Breakers Boutique Accommodation - a little bit of beachfront luxury on the West Coast of the South Island.

 

Tariff Inclusions

Daily breakfast is included with our room rate.  We have a small menu available including continential offerings and a choice of hot options.

Tarrif includes New Zealand Goods and Service Tax of 15%

Children

Children are welcome.  Room configuration is as per description for each room under Accommodation.  Our Rooms are double occupancy or Breakwater and Driftwood can be used for twin or triple occupancy with two people sharing same king bed.  Cot available at no extra cost on request.  We have no other facilities on site for toddlers (ie highchair, baby bath etc).

Check In/Check out

Check-in from 3.30pm until 6pm, earlier by arrangement.  Guests must phone if going to be later than 6pm – 03 7627743 (limited cell coverage so phone early if leaving previous destination late).  Arrival by 6pm - this ensures guests have opportunity to make most of our beachfront location and sea views. Must phone if going to be later than 6pm so we know are safe and can advise on dining options. Note latest checkin is 8pm.

Check-out is 10.00am.  Guests are welcome to walk on the beach, use the internet or relax in the lounge or on the deck before/after this but guest room must be vacated by this time.

Covid 19 Cleaning

The health and wellbeing of our guests is our utmost priority. As a responsible business we are committed to keeping you safe and providing flexibility for your booking.

We understand that, now more than ever, health and safety are at the forefront of our guests' minds. We have implemented additional cleaning and hygiene practices and a new flexible cancellation policy.

We continue to maintain high levels of hygiene, monitor the requirements for the traveller and are recognised as Qualmark Covid Clean Approved.

Cancellation

 If you are unable to travel because of Covid related restrictions, you will not be charged for cancelling.  This is our "no worries" policy, so if borders remain closed or are closed unexpectedly, disrupting your travel plans, or if Alert Levels are increased restricting travel, no charges will be made. 

Otherwise our standard cancellation policy applies for all bookings:

Cancellation within 7 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of total booking
Cancellation within 30 days of arrival date: 30% forfeit of total booking
Mother Nature causing issues with weather and roads affecting stay are not covered, therefore we highly recommend travel insurance.

Contact Tracing

We support contact tracing and make this easy via the COVID-19 app so that information can be provided to the health authorities if required at any time. 

Pets

Generally pets are not allowed.  We have two friendly dogs on site that are not allowed in the guest rooms.  To ensure the comfort of future guests, please don't encourage them.

If you are hoping to bring your fur baby with you, please do enquire as we will assess on a case by case situation.

Payment

Currently we have no credit card facilities so payment is required by direct credit.  Credit card details are still required to secure the booking to cover any late cancellation fees should they be applicable. Once borders are reopened and international travel is allowed we will reinstate our credit card payment options.

No Smoking

We have a no smoking policy within all rooms of our property for the enjoyment and comfort of all our guests. There will be a charge for the sanitising of any rooms and any lost income as result of smoking, including vaping or e-cigarettes inside.  Guests are welcome to smoke outside but we ask you be mindful and respectful of other guests and access to rooms and disposal of cigarette butts.  Please don't leave any butts etc inside.

Damage and Cleaning

In the event of any damage or additional extra cleaning is required beyond the normal wear & tear or use, during your stay with us an additional charge may be incurred.

Dining Options

There are no guest cooking facilities.  Rooms have a small fridge and hot drink making facilities.

Homemade pizza is available with 24 hours prior notice (or if staying longer than one night, requested during breakfast).  NZ Wine is available to purchase.  Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.  We are happy to supply crockery and cutlery for use in guest room for own nibbles etc and on request heat food in our microwave.  Due to insurance and heatlh & safety, guests are not permitted in our kitchen.

Restaurants – 10minute drive to Greymouth for cafes/restaurants.

Local Pub – 6kms south, great Kiwi country pub experience.  Courtesy vehicle available with prior notice.
