Grey District is the start/finish of the West Coast Wilderness Trail. Follow the historic Kumara bush tram through regenerating forest and farmland to the Taramakau River, and then along the edge of a tidal lagoons and coastline with great views of the Tasman Sea before bringing you around the fishing port and along the Grey River into Greymouth.
We can organise a rental bike/helmet, transport of yourself and bike to the inland village of Kumara for you to then bike back to Greymouth at your leisure.

Breakers is fortunate enough to have its own professional photographer as part of our team and he is available for photography location tours that can be tailor-made to suit your requirements, helping to showcase this beautiful scenic region we are lucky enough to call home from remote beaches, rock stacks and rock pools, towering limestone cliffs, cascading waterfalls, lush green native forest, snow capped mountains, numerous lakes, rivers and creeks as well as an abundance of history.
