Surfing
Here at Breakers boutique accommodation, we are lucky enough to be situated right above a world renowned surf break at Nine Mile creek - 14kms north of Greymouth.
This has turned out to be the case and many a surfer from New Zealand travels to the West Coast to surf at Nine Mile beach - right at the base of Breakers. Upon making her decision to move to the West Coast, Jan told some friends where she was moving - Nine Mile creek just north of Greymouth and was met with great enthusiasm from her surfing friends, who announced that was a fantastic spot for surfing and that it has a great left break - all you surfers will know what that means..... While out surfing you can encounter dolphins also playing along in the surf.
